We promise to do what’s right, always. Position Summary:The Data Engineering Intern will play a critical role in building and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers analytics and reporting across the organization.
This role will support the development of scalable data pipelines, automate data ingestion processes, and ensure data quality for downstream consumers.
This role will report to the Senior Data Engineer.
What you will do:Build and Maintain Data Pipelines:Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources including pharmacy claims, eligibility files, and client data feedsSupport automation of file processing workflows, including format standardization and validationCreate and maintain documentation for data models, pipeline architecture, and transformation logicData Quality and Infrastructure:Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of source dataTroubleshoot and resolve data pipeline failures and anomaliesSupport the design and maintenance of dimensional models in our cloud data warehouseCollaboration and Standards:Partner with analytics and reporting teams to understand data

and deliver reliable, well-structured datasets Ensure adherence to compliance and data security standards when handling sensitive information (PHI and PII), including completion of HIPAA training Participate in code reviews and follow version control best practicesWhat you need:Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related technical field Familiarity with SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred)Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts and relational databasesExposure to cloud platforms (Snowflake, Azure, or AWS a plus)Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersWhat you get:Hands-on experience with modern data stack tools (Snowflake, dbt, Azure)Exposure to real-world healthcare data engineering challenges at scaleTo impact industry change in the pharmacy
