We’re seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of modern and scalable enterprise data solutions for clients in the financial services industry.

This role combines deep expertise in Financial Systems, Salesforce solutions, and modern data architectures (Data Lakes, Lakehouses, and Data Mesh) with the ability to guide technical teams and influence client strategy.

Responsibilities:

Enterprise Data Architecture ModernizationArchitect scalable Data Lake, Lakehouse, and Data Mesh solutions using Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, and related platforms. Define enterprise data models using dimensional modeling, 3NF, Kimball, Data Vault methodologies.

Assess legacy core banking systems and design modernization strategies aligned to target-state architecture. Establish scalable architectural patterns that support analytics, reporting, AI/ML, and distributed data products. Data Engineering IntegrationDesign scalable batch, streaming, API-based, and CDC-driven data pipelines. Lead ETL/ELT architecture and optimization using modern orchestration and transformation frameworks (e. g. , PySpark, SQL, Scala, Delta Lake). Ensure integration readiness, performance optimization, and long-term sustainability of data platforms. Governance, Security ObservabilityDefine and contribute to enterprise data governance frameworks including MDM, metadata management, lineage, and data quality standards. Design role-based access control, encryption, and regulatory compliance solutions (e. g. , banking regulations, GDPR, HIPAA).

Incorporate data observability practices including monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure reliability and quality. Data Product Operating Model LeadershipDefine and align domain-oriented data product operating models across key business domains. Partner with Data Product Owners and business stakeholders to align

requirements

, priorities, and value realization. Establish scalable processes that accelerate data product development while maintaining governance and quality standards. Client Delivery LeadershipServe as architectural lead in client-facing engagements, articulating strategy and technical value. Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to scope solutions and define engagement approaches. Mentor technical teams and promote best practices in architecture, engineering, and deployment. Monitor progress during project execution, identifying risks and ensuring alignment with architectural principles and client objectives. Required

Qualifications

5+ years designing and delivering enterprise-scale data solutions in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Proven experience architecting modern data platforms using Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse, or Microsoft Fabric, and tools like Talend, Informatica, and SSIS. Strong expertise in data modeling (Dimensional, 3NF, Data Vault) and enterprise integration design. Hands-on experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark, SQL, Scala, or similar technologies. Experience implementing governance, security, and compliance controls in regulated industries (financial services preferred). Strong background in database development (SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, etc. ) and scripting (Python, TypeScript, etc). Experience leading technical teams in client-facing consulting engagements. Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, to ensure understanding of the desired outcome is shared and met. Remote position with up to 30% travel based on client needs. Preferred

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with Salesforce FSC data architecture and financial services data models. Certifications or hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake and/or Salesforce. Experience designing AI/ML data pipelines or supporting advanced analytics use cases. Familiarity with Salesforce data migrations and multi-system integrations. Prior experience in Agile environments or delivery leadership roles.
