The RoleThe Data Architect for Lumen’s System Excellence function within STEPN Business Operations is responsible for owning and driving the data strategy for all business operations processes and supporting systems/tools.
This role is central to our shift toward a product‑based operating model in which a unified, consistent data language is spoken across operations, and involves collaborating with Operations, Product, Development / Engineering, Architecture, and other stakeholders to create a comprehensive canonical data model and best practices approach for data management, likely to include establishing and implementing a Master Data Management (MDM) solution. Key
responsibilities:
include translating business needs into data needs, aligning business processes and systems design to support those needs, and then maximizing the value realized from the data throughout the operational lifecycle. Additionally, the Data Architect is tasked with supporting the implementation and maturation of systems and tools that adhere to data standards and leading data governance across multiple operations functions.
The Data Architect will operate as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) on data architecture, management, and governance for the STEPN Business Operations organization.
