Responsibilities:Develop leading edge predictive models on data from multiple insurance companiesPerform all functions required to build and evaluated models end to end including :Data PreparationExternal data research and acquisitionData profiling and harmonization across carriersFeature developmentNLP/ML modelingGISModel validation and interpretationBusiness value assessment and product pricing analysesAdditional work assignments not related to specific project work such as new feature development, external data research, providing user feedback on new products and tools under development
Qualifications:Masters or Ph. D. Experience using statistical modeling tools such as SAS, Emblem, DataRobot or experience with Python or RExpert SQL skills FCAS or near FCAS with appropriate work experience. 7+ years of experience in an actuarial role in the US or Canadian P C industry either with a carrier or consulting firmExperience with P C policy administration and claims processing conceptsPassion for solving complex data problemsexperience working with Guidewire ClaimCenter and/or PolicyCenter data preferredExperience and skill in communicating insights to both technical and non-technical personnel at all levels of the organizationStrong customer orientation and ability support sales conversations with customersAbility to plan and carry out projects with minimal direction, yet a team playerSelf-motivated and detail-orientedAbout GuidewireGuidewire is the platform P C insurers trust to engage, innovate, and grow efficiently.
