Newfire is seeking a Senior Data Engineer What's the Project. Newfire is seeking a a talented and motivated Analytics Engineer to join our growing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the data pipelines and data models that serve our reports and dashboards.
The Data Platform team at this project plays a critical role in enabling the organization to work from meaningful insights.
We are a collaborative and passionate team focused on building and maintaining the infrastructure and tools that support our business endeavors.
Our client is a US cloud-based procurement software designed for research organizations and laboratories.
It streamlines purchasing, automates workflows, and helps manage suppliers and orders efficiently.
Your day-to-day activities:Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using dbt and SQL to support dashboards and reports. Collaborate with analysts to understand their data needs and translate them into robust and scalable data solutions. Build and maintain internal tools and dashboards to facilitate efficient data management. Contribute to the development and improvement of our data infrastructure ensuring data quality, reliability, and security. Work closely with data engineering to integrate new data sources into the core data infrastructure. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in data engineering and analytics.
As a Senior team member, you will be expected to actively participate in our hiring processes by serving on interview panels for future roles across the company. Please note that employment will be contingent upon providing documentation verifying your legal work authorization in the country of residence, in accordance with applicable law.
You’re a perfect match if you have:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A few years of experience in a data engineering or analytics role, with a proven track record of building and maintaining data pipelines and tools. Strong proficiency in SQL with experience in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization. Strong proficiency dbt core and/or cloud for data transformation and modeling. Strong proficiency in data modeling, such as star schemas and medallion architecturesFamiliarity with Snowflake or other data warehousing solutions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. Passion for data and a strong interest in contributing to health and wellness research.
