RESPONSIBILITIES:
IN THE BUSINESS:As a Senior Data Analyst at Kainos,you’llbe responsible formatchingtheneeds of data insight with understanding of the available data. Data analystsworkcloselywith customers to produce insight products including reports, dashboardsandvisualisationsbut also contribute to project understanding of existing data structuressothatinputs and outputs are fully understood.
It therefore has a strong consulting element. Most of our work comes through repeat business and direct referrals, which comesdowntothe quality of our people.
The success of our DataAnalyticsteams means thatcustomers are bringing usanincreasingnumber of excitingAI anddataprojects usingcutting-edgetechnology to solve real-world problems.
We areseekingmore high calibrepeopletojoin ourAI and Datapracticewhere you will grow and contribute to industry-leading technicalexpertise.
It is a fast-paced environment, so it is important for you to make sound, reasoned decisions.
You will do this whilst learning aboutnew technologiesand approaches, with talented colleagues that will help you to develop and grow.
You will manage, coach, and develop a small number of staff, with a focus on managing employee performance andassistingin their career development.
You will also provide direction and leadership for your team as you solve challenging problems together. MINIMUM(ESSENTIAL)

Able toidentifymissed opportunities for data insightAble to review and comment on data models– for example pointing out whymodels are defective and suggesting improvementsClear written and verbal communications; able to communicate with a widerangeofpeopleFamiliar with the production of data analysis outputs such as profiling reports,dataqualityreportsand data visualisations. Confident in summarising andpresentingconclusionsfor senior stakeholders, telling the ‘data story’ without using jargonExperience in manipulating or wrangling data for analysisProficient in more than one reporting or data visualisation platformStrong SQL knowledge; able to read and understand XML and JSONAble to produce proposed implementation plans for data analysis work,including estimatedeffort and technical implications of data insight productsStrong leadership, analytical and communication skills with a passion for data-driven decision making and forestablishingbest practiceDESIRABLE:Experienced with structured and unstructured dataExperience ofPowerBIon Fabric,Tableauand Google AnalyticsExperience in combining qualitative and quantitative datasetsExperience of system performance analysisDemonstrable thought leadership – e. g. personal blogs.
