Senior AI Engineer

ChargePoint is looking for a Senior GenAI Engineer to lead the design, development, and operation of production-grade Generative AI systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience influencing architecture and technical direction, strong system design and debugging skills for distributed AI systems, and a passion for building scalable, maintainable, and responsible AI platforms.

Requirements

10+ years of professional software engineering experienceStrong development skills in Python (required); experience with Java, Go, or TypeScript is a plusDeep hands-on experience with LLMs and Generative AI systemsStrong experience with RAG, embeddings, vector search, and prompt engineeringExperience building Copilot-style or agent-based AI systemsStrong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and microservicesExperience deploying and operating systems using Docker/KubernetesExperience with Azure, AWS, or GCPFamiliarity with LLMOps / MLOps practices
