What this Job Entails:The Data Scientist II designs, develops and programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions.

The hire will be responsible for statistical modeling, and analysis of structured and unstructured datasets to develop metrics, reports, and visualizations of trends and patterns. Scope: Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective waysWorks on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factorsYour Roles and Responsibilities:Leads in the development and coding of software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sourcesIdentifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sourcesinterprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managersPropose solutions and strategies to business challenges and presents to the executive boardCreate data visualizations Leads and mentors others on the teamBuild predictive models and machine-learning algorithmsTroubleshoot and test database technical issues with development teamIndependently analyze data sets to identify opportunities for increased accuracy and efficiencyPerform quality assurance on data to determine potential data gapsAssemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems. Qualifications

/Skills:Bachelor’s degree (B. S/B. A) from four-college or university and 8+ years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutionsNetworks with key contacts outside own area of expertiseExcellent analytical skills, tenacious problem solver with strong verbal communication skillsExperience working with Big Data to provide EDA to senior team leadsSQL skills; including creating and modifying macros, as well as creating dashboards using SQL codingExcellent written communication skills High level of attention to detailAbility to independently analyze large amounts of data; including the ability to identify, analyze, and interpret trends, gaps, patterns in complex data setsProficient in SAS, Python, R, TensorFlow, Hadoop, and/or SparkPreferred

Qualifications
