Border Security / Data Architect SME

ResponsibilitiesAs a Border Security / Data Architect SME with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:Establish and maintain data architecture standards, including canonical data models, dictionaries, and metadata frameworks to support enterprise analytics. Design and optimize data pipelines and integration strategies for multiple source systems, ensuring data quality, lineage, and governance across ingestion points. Conduct advanced data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; translate insights into actionable recommendations for operational and strategic planning. Develop dashboards to communicate program health, performance metrics, and mission outcomes to senior leadership. Drive automation of reporting processes and artifact generation to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy across program deliverables.

Assist leading complex programs and projects from initiation through execution, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, acquisition policies, and agency standards. Understand and analyze integrated master schedules (IMS), risk registers, and governance frameworks to track milestones and mitigate schedule and cost risks.

Qualifications

Active CBP BI or TOP SECRETU. S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U. S. security clearance12+ years' supporting Government solutions, 5+ years specific to Border SecurityBS Degree required, Master's preferredExperience with various border security technologies; Knowledge of best practices related to deployment of border security technologies. Understanding of the geographical and environmental conditions and challenges related to deployment areas and techniques for adapting to these conditions.
